NetMedic is a network troubleshooting app. In short: we do not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking. This page explains exactly what the app does with data on your device and which servers it contacts to run its tests.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Internet, network state, Wi-Fi state | To run the network tests and show your connection type, signal strength and network settings. |
| Location (optional) | Android only reveals the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) to apps that have location access. NetMedic asks for it only to show that name. It never reads your GPS position, never records where you are, and works without this permission. |
To test your connection, NetMedic sends network traffic to these services. They see your IP address and the technical request, as any server you connect to does. NetMedic does not send them any other information about you.
| Service | When |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare (1.1.1.1, speed.cloudflare.com) | Quick Check internet test, DNS comparison, speed test |
| Google (connectivitycheck.gstatic.com, www.google.com, 8.8.8.8) | Sign-in page and website check, DNS comparison |
| Quad9 (9.9.9.9) | DNS comparison in the Toolbox |
| Your router and your network's DNS server | Router and DNS checks |
| Any website or address you type in | Ping, DNS lookup and website check in the Toolbox |
Their own privacy policies apply to that traffic: Cloudflare, Google, Quad9.
If you tap Share report, the app creates a plain-text summary and hands it to the app you choose (email, messages…). You decide who receives it. The report never contains your Wi-Fi name, IP addresses or location.
NetMedic is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.
If a future version changes what data is handled (for example by adding ads or in-app purchases), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
